Crooked Little Vein
Author:
Warren Ellis
Genre:
Crime Fiction
Synopsis:
Private investigator Michael McGill is hired by the president’s chief of staff to find a secret version of the Constitution. As he follows the clues across the country he discovers the strange underbelly of America and meets the people who move through it.
Verdict:
With his usual flair for dialogue and description Warren Ellis introduces us to some actual strange practices and beliefs carried out and practiced in America today. The story isn’t always a subtle vehicle for this exploration but the ride makes it worth it.
