#118. Bones To Ashes by Kathy Reichs

Title:
Bones To Ashes
Author:
Kathy Reichs
Genre:
Crime/Thriller/Forensics
Synopsis:
A young girl’s skeleton is found prompting memories of a disappeared childhood friend of Brennan’s whose story Brennan attempts to uncover even as she investigates the death of the young girl who was found.
Verdict:
Again there is a balance between a case pursued and a larger social issue/framework. Whilst I enjoy the TV series for its own features, I like the Brennan of novels better overall. Her personal failings and foibles are less extreme and her work takes its place in the context of law enforcement and doesn’t suffer from CSI-itis.
